Press Ombudsman to retire

The Press Ombudsman Professor John Horgan has announced his retirement.

Professor Horgan will step down on 1st September.

He was appointed by the Press Council of Ireland as the first Ombudsman in 2007, following a career as a journalist, a member of the Oireachtas and Professor of Journalism at Dublin City University.
