Passport customers stage sit-in over industrial action

A number of people are staging a sit-in at the passport office in Dublin city centre over the closure of the public counters due to industrial action.

The office closed at 1pm this afternoon leaving many people unable to collect or follow up queries about their passports until Monday morning.

The action by CPSU members is part of an ongoing campaign by public service workers against pay cuts.
