No graves at proposed site of Children's Hospital, says Development Board

An environmental study at the site of the proposed new Children's Hospital at St James's in Dublin found no evidence of a grave, or any significant archeological feature.

The Development Board for the new children's hospital and St James's Hospital issued the statement following media reports over the weekend that the site is on the ground of an ancient mass pauper's grave.

The board said their study included an Archaeology Report, and these findings were consolidated by further geotechnical surveys.
