Murphy Report chapter to be published today
A previously censored chapter of the Murphy Report is to be published today, instead of Monday as originally planned.
Chapter 19 covers the Catholic Church's handling of paedophile former priest Tony Walsh in the Dublin Archdiocese.
A Department of Justice spokesman said yesterday it was bringing forward the publication as the task turned out to be less complex than expected.
The 40 pages involved will be published on www.justice.ie at 12 noon.
The Murphy Report was published in November 2009 following a statutory inquiry into the handling of clerical child sex abuse allegations by the Church and the State in Dublin between 1975 and 2004.
