More than 1,000 children in Dublin are homeless, says charity
More than 1,000 children in Dublin are now homeless, according to the Dublin Region Homeless Executive.
Its figures from show that 1,034 children in emergency accommodation in the week of May 18-24, in 490 families.
The Irish Times reported that families with children have begun presenting to rough sleeper services in the city since March.
Organisations which help the homeless have been finding them emergency accommodation to prevent them sleeping in cars or elsewhere.
