Men arrested after swallowing 600 pellets of cannabis resin

More than 600 pellets of cannabis resin has been recovered from five men arrested at Dublin Airport today.

The men, one British national living in Ireland, and four Romanians, were stopped and questioned by Revenue Customs Officers on foot of routine profiling at the airport yesterday.

Two of them admitted swallowing pellets before arriving into Ireland on a flight from Madrid, which was later confirmed by X-ray.

The five passed the 600 pellets of the drug by noon today. The haul has been valued at €60,000.
