Marioara murder: Man charged

Gardaí investigating the murder of Romanian teen Marioara Rostas have this evening charged a man in his early 30s.

The man, who was arrested earlier in the Dublin area, will appear before a special court sitting at the Bridewell at 8pm.

The body of the 18-year-old, who disappeared from Dublin city centre four years ago, was found in January in the Wicklow Mountains.

It emerged following a post mortem that Marioara had been shot in the head.

Gardaí believe she was brutalised for several day before her death.
