Less than 100,000 registered for household charge

Less than 100,000 properties are registered to pay the household charge, the deadline for payment of which is March 31.

As of 4pm yesterday, 96,668 households had registered their details with the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.

This afternoon the Campaign Against Household & Water Taxes is issuing its response to the Government's national leaflet drop on the charge.

The Campaign is urging mass non-payment of the €100 charge..
