LÉ Róisín to be deployed next month to aid Mediterranean humanitarian crisis

Another Irish naval vessel is to be sent to the Mediterranean to help in the humanitarian crisis.

60 crew aboard the LÉ Róisín will be deployed within the next month.

The acting Cabinet granted approval for the deployment today.

Irish naval vessels will operate on a rotation, with each deployment lasting around 12 weeks.
