HSE charges Kerry hospital staff to boil water for tea and coffee

The HSE has defended its decision to charge staff at Kerry General Hospital for boiling water in the canteen.

It is charging 50 cent for the water if workers bring their own tea bags or coffee to work.

The Executive said the charge was introduced to stop people trying to avoid paying for tea or coffee.
