Gardaí arrest Dublin priest in fraud probe

A Catholic priest has been arrested and questioned as part of an investigation into alleged theft and fraud.

It is understood the inquiry relates to a substantial amount of cash.

The man in his 50's was detained at Mountjoy Garda station in Dublin on Wednesday morning.

He was questioned and released without charge later that evening and Gardaí say a file is being prepared for the DPP.
