An Irish ultra runner has broken his own record by running seven marathons on seven continents in under five days.

An Irish ultra runner has broken his own record by running seven marathons on seven continents in under five days.

Forty-five-year-old Richard Donovan completed his epic journey in Sydney this morning, setting a new time of four days, 22 hours and three minutes.

Donovan previously set a record for running the distance in under seven days. Today, he smashed that record by about 12 hours.
