Cost Plus Sofas has confirmed that it's restructuring its business and will be closing a number of its Irish stores.

A statement on the companies website says the changes will lead to "many" of its 23 Irish outlets being closed down.

The firm trades as 'Cost Plus Sofas and Beds etc.'

The message says that all customer orders will be honoured as will all warranties on products already sold.

It is not clear how many jobs are likely to be lost as a result of the closures.
