Coastguard rescue man off Clare coast

A man is being treated at University Hospital Galway after being rescued off the County Clare coast.

The man fell into the water at Ballyreen, north of Doolin, just before 10am this morning.

A Valentia Coastguard spokesman has confirmed he was recovered from the sea by the Shannon rescue helicopter.

His condition is not yet known.
