Body found in River Shannon

A body has been recovered from the River Shannon.
The body, believed to be that of a woman, was discovered by a search unit attached to Bunratty Search and Rescue Service, at around 4.30pm.
The remains, located near Bunratty, Co Clare on the Limerick side, has been removed from the water and transported to the morgue at University Hospital Limerick.
The body has not been identified.
Search units attached to Limerick Marine Search and Rescue have been combing the river for the past fee weeks after two women were seen entering the water in Limerick.
