Body found in river Shannon

The body of a man has been recovered from the river Shannon in Co Clare.

The remains were located two miles south of Killaloe this afternoon as part of an ongoing search involving the Killaloe Coastguard, local search and rescue teams and garda divers.

The discovery comes three weeks after a Limerick man in his late forties went missing in the area, though the identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.
