A company that makes baby food is recalling all batches of a specific brand for health and safety reasons.

A company that makes baby food is recalling all batches of a specific brand for health and safety reasons.

Holle Baby Food GmbH Serviceburo has recalled all batches of it's Holle Organic Millet Porridge and its Millet and Rice Whole Wheat Porridge due to the presence of undesirable plant constituents.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland are warning people who may have the affected baby foods that they should not feed them to infants or children.

There are no long-term health effects from consumption of the products, but it may cause short-term adverse effects, like dilated pupils, change of heart rate, dryness of the mouth, constipation, urinary retention, and flushed skin.

If consumers are concerned they are being told to seek medical advice.
