AGSI rules out return to Croke Park negotiations

The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (AGSI) says it will not be reversing its decision to pull out of ongoing National Pay Talks.

The Association was reacting to comments from Finance Minister Michael Noonan who suggested there may be room for compromise on proposals for €1bn worth of cuts to Garda pay.

The secretary general of the AGSI John Redmond welcomed the comments but claimed his members needed action, not words.
