80,000 passed through Dublin Airport yesterday

Yesterday was one of the busiest days at Dublin Airport so far this year with 80,000 passengers arriving and departing through both terminals.
Christmas season travellers passing through the facility are expected to be up 8% on last year.
Dublin Airport Authority's Siobhan O'Donnell said Dublin Airport is one of the few airports closed on Christmas Day, making the run-up a lot busier.
It's a very traditional Irish trait that people come home for Christmas, and we're an unusual airport in that we close on Christmas Day."
"There's no demand for flights on Christmas Day … we're unusual in that respect."
She advised passengers to check which terminal flights depart from and to remember the European regulations concerning liquids in hand luggage.
