Si taking 'X Factor' back to basics

High-waistbanded talent show mogul Simon Cowell has ordered the return of stripped-down auditions for 'The X Factor'.

The TV singing competition will undergo an overhaul as it makes the hopefuls perform without a backing track for the first time since 2009 with the aim of bringing back some of the two million viewers lost last year.
