'Rest in peace mam. Miss you': Aonghus tweets tribute to mother Ronnie
The actress Ronnie Masterson has died at the age of 88.
Masterson trained at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin and appeared in many stage and television productions, including an appearance in Angela's Ashes .
She was married to the actor Ray Mc Anally and is survived by her four children, including the broadcaster Aonghus Mc Anally.
He tweeted a tribute to his mother, describing her as a great mother and actress.
Sad news tonight. My beautiful mother, the brilliant actress Ronnie Masterson, passed away at 7,30. Rest in peace mam. Xxxxxxxxx
