Salary survey reveals more positive outlook for 2012
A study released today shows nearly half of Human Resources managers and business leaders have a more positive outlook for this year than 2011.
According to the Morgan McKinley Ireland Salary Survey, just 4% of managers are concerned about handling redundancies over the next 12 months.
More than half of those surveyed expect salaries to stay at the same level in their business in 2012, but one fifth predict wages will go up, if only slightly.
The survey revealed that 47% working in financial services, professional services, manufacturing and IT have a more positive business outlook for 2012 compared to 2011. A further 11% feel significantly more positive about the business climate in 2012.
Up to 58% expect salaries to remain the same within their businesses over the next 12 months, while only 4% of HR managers and business leaders are concerned about handling redundancies this year.
