However, as much as the likes of former Clare star Niall Gilligan and well-known GAA sponsor Martin Donnelly were in attendance to support the event, Fitzgerald insisted on his players having a quiet night in.
With a qualifier now just five days away and a 10am get together yesterday morning, he said: “They won’t be going out tonight (Saturday) — they know the story.”
