Barr’s run Rovers ragged
Not since the 1988 county final had the Barr’s bested the Glen, but at Páirc Uí Chaoimh yesterday, they limited the Glen to just 0-6 from play.
The Glen led twice early on as Patrick Horgan shouldered the burden. The Barr’s began to pick things up as half-time neared, Robert O’Mahony levelling with a fine point before being denied a goal by a wonderful Declan Hourihan save.
Ian Lordan and Eoin Finn scored as the Barr’s led 0-9 to 0-6 at half-time. Five points in the third quarter left them comfortable, Finn with the pick of them. Lordan and O’Connor stretched theadvantage to nine by the end.
