Cork IT turn on the power to end Imokilly’s brave challenge
Leading 0-9 to 0-7 after playing into the breeze in the first half, the introduction of Kilkenny star Colin Fennelly in the 33rd minute helped solidify CIT’s advantage.
Fennelly was held in reserve after being hit by a ball in the warm-up. He made up for lost time, however, with two points after coming on to follow Lorcan McLoughlin’s long-range free and when Aidan Walsh and McLoughlin sent over further good points, the lead was seven points by the 41st minute.
