Twin houses provide twice as nice option near the city

THEY’RE not quite identical or Siamese twins - but they are conjoined.

These two side-by-side Sunday’s Well terraced homes hit the market together, being sold by their investor owner, with price tags of €260,000 for a three-bed, and €275,000 for a four-bed.

But, given the switch back to owner-occupation in this mature Cork city area, new owners not so dependent on bedrooms tally may make internal changes to these properties with views to write home about.

Robert O’Keffee of Irish and European auctioneers is selling this desirably-located duo, which look out over the city, St Fin Barre’s Cathedral and towards UCC.

Numbers 11 (four-bedroomed) and 12 (with three bedrooms) on Sunday’s Well Road each have their accommodation on three levels and are entered in the mid-level, and are in good overall condition.

The location is handily within a short walk of Cork city, and parking in the area is limited (though residents get permits) so it could really suit a walker. The houses, up above the former Irish Distillers riverside site now acquired by UCC and the Mercy Hospital, have decent yards to the back, which are south-facing, but the properties are unfortunately being sold without their gardens.
