UCD move to top of First Division

UCD moved back to the top of the eircom First Division with a 2-1 victory over Sligo Rovers over the weekend while Kildare County stayed in promotion contention with a win over Kilkenny City, and Limerick claimed their second League win of the season against Cobh Ramblers.

Kildare beat Kilkenny City 2-0 at Buckley Park with goals from McKenna in the 42nd minute and Kiely in the 78th.

Sligo Rovers lost 2-1 to UCD at the Showgrounds, Gorman scoring for Sligo and McWalter and Kearns for UCD.

An 86th minute strike from Harnett earned Limerick three points against Cobh Ramblers at St Colman’s Park.
