THE sentencing of a teenager who cooked a hamster in a microwave was adjourned yesterday.
The 16-year-old, from Corby, Northamptonshire, who cannot be named for legal reasons, previously pleaded guilty to one count of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
He was due to be sentenced yesterday at Kettering Youth Court but magistrates adjourned the case for five weeks for a second psychiatric report to be prepared.
The youth was released on conditional bail to be sentenced at the same court on March 12.
