Man jailed for fatal punch

Saturday, February 06, 2010

A 34-YEAR-OLD man was jailed for three years yesterday for killing the half-brother of England footballer Jermain Defoe with a single punch.

Christopher Farley rode up on a BMX bicycle to confront Jade Defoe and start a row before knocking him unconscious.

Defoe, a 26-year-old rapper and father-of-three, fractured his skull and suffered brain damage when his head hit the pavement.

Farley, of Kingswood Road, Leytonstone, east London, later admitted to police that he had a "bad temper".
