Liberal culture a failure

ALDERMAN Máirín Quill points the finger of blame at parents for the breakdown of society, evidenced by children roaming the streets late at night.

She wants to remind us of our primary responsibilities. Furthermore, she warns us that a society that allows this to continue is derelict in its duty to its children (Irish Examiner, January 29).

Máirín, the vast majority of parents are struggling to protect their children against the culture that now exists, but what of those who created the culture?

Are not the political parties and politicians in Dáil Éireann, who supported and implemented the liberal agenda, more derelict in their duty?
