Balde keen on sticking with Celtic

BOBO BALDE has given concerned Celtic supporters some encouraging news after the departure of Jackie McNamara.

The Hoops faithful are still coming to terms with the stormy exit of the 31-year-old skipper to join Wolves.

Balde also looked set to leave, having expressed a desire to a take up a clause in his contract to join Bayern Munich after claiming he was their top summer target.

But having spoken to new manager Gordon Strachan, the 29-year-old giant has not ruled out staying next season.

“As far as I am concerned, I will be back in Glasgow in July for the start of pre-season training,” Balde said.

“I have spoken to Gordon Strachan and I want to see what Celtic do.

“I am looking forward to seeing what the future brings for Celtic and I was very interested in what the new manager had to say.

“I never said that I would be leaving Celtic. I just pointed out that I had other offers.
