Keane meeting thrilled Miller

KENNY MILLER claims a chance encounter with Roy Keane at Parkhead confirmed the enormity of his move from Wolves to Celtic.

The former Rangers player signed a pre-contract with the Hoops last week and will join the Glasgow giants in the summer.

Miller, 26, said how meeting the Irishman was a boost to his confidence. He said: “Meeting Roy Keane was the moment which hammered home to me just what a massive club I was signing for.

“I had been out taking a look at that amazing stadium and I was buzzing as I walked back down the tunnel with Peter Lawwell (Celtic chief executive) and my agent Dave Baldwin when suddenly a door opened and there was Roy Keane standing in front of me.

“I’m normally a pretty confident sort of guy but my initial reaction was, ‘My God, I’m going to be playing alongside him next season!’

“Roy immediately smiled and asked, ‘Hi Kenny, how are you doing?’”
