YOUR article on Marie Collins with her despairing plea for truth and the Catholic Church’s need for humility was heartrending (December 2).
It led me to think as I watched the Angelus before RTÉ’s 6:1 News that this slot might be the right space for a symbolic message to come from the clergy. It may give an opportunity for church leaders to express their profound disgust and regret at the awful sins of abuse laid at their door.
There’s no escaping what Jesus meant when he said: "Whatever you do to the least of these my brethren – you do to me."
