Burning issue

I WAS astonished to read that Dublin City Council is to proceed with the Poolbeg incinerator. The "put or pay" clause in the contract locks us into incineration for the foreseeable future and will prevent cleaner technologies becoming viable.

The hypocrisy of Fine Gael councillors condemning the decision needs to be highlighted. We must hold to account those who didn’t make a submission on the project and whose parties voted for incineration at the city council.
