Revelation of truck drivers’ conditions make me see them in a completely different light

I always used to complain about truck drivers and the way they park on the hard shoulders of the roads (Irish Examiner letters, April 21).

I live in Fermoy, on the Dublin side of town, and have to exit from a side road on to the main road every time I need to go out.

This is dangerous enough at the best of times but if I go out early in the morning or late at night I am taking my life in my hands because of the trucks parked at the side of the road. I have to edge further out on the road to get a clear view, which makes the exit a lot more dangerous.
