WHO do Irish bankers think they are?
We were given to understand their top pay was to be capped at €500,000 a year. Now we find they had been blatantly paying a lot more. But for the fact that AIB wanted to appoint a new lord high executioner (to the ordinary man in the street, at least), we might never have found out.
Let a cap be a cap, not a headband. Headbands can stretch and slip leaving the top of the head exposed.
I suppose bonuses will come next and we won’t hear a thing about them unless the media are vigilant.
The media must watch these people and stop being used as tools to drive wedges between ordinary workers whether public or private.
