Palace boss sings dumb on Dowie future
Jordan announced last month that Dowie had signed a new four-year deal with the club, along with his brother Bob and assistant coach Kit Symons.
However, it has been suggested that Dowie has stalled on actually putting pen to paper as he thrashes out some “non-football issues”.
Last month Dowie said he had shaken hands with Jordan and “as a man of my word” would sign.
Dowie, whose family still live in the north west of England, was heavily linked with the vacant manager’s job at Blackburn.
Crystal Palace yesterday declined to clarify Dowie’s position.
