Walkers urged to respect countryside

ICSA president Malcolm Thompson yesterday warned hill walkers to obey the countryside code when taking advantage of the present good weather.

He said farmers are delighted to welcome walkers to the countryside during this fine spell, when they can really experience it at its best.

“We would however like to remind them that they must have permission from farmers before they walk on their land,” he said.
