Stories from recessionary Ireland - Special Report

In this special report - which has been developed in collaboration with Public Relations and Journalism students from at Cork Institute of Technology - we reveal a series of picture essays which explore issues, both positive and negative, relating to Ireland's most recent recession and the austerity policies it delivered. The essays cover a diverse range of subjects reflecting the interests and motivations of each individual student. Some relate to societal issues such as homelessness, unemployment, abandoned animals and emigration. Others explore personal stories of hardship but also uplifting tales of those who manage to overcome that challenge.
