Chilli chicken wings

These spicy, garlicky wings are great served with a big green salad full of roasted vegetables with a yoghurt dressing and some crunchy bread

Ingredients

  • 1½kg chicken wings

  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed

  • dash of rapeseed oil

  • 2 tsp mild chilli powder

  • ½ red chilli, finely chopped

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 3 tbsp cider vinegar

  • bunch of thyme, removed from the stalk and chopped

Method

  1. Toss the chicken wings with all of the other ingredients and some seasoning and spread them out on a baking tray. Bake in an oven heated to 180°C.

  2. After 20 minutes toss the wings. Bake for another 10 minutes.

  3. Then turn the heat up to 200°C for another 10 minutes of cooking. Make sure they are cooked through.
