juice of ½ lemon (about 2 tbsp)
2Â tbsp white breadcrumbs
110g butter
110g golden caster sugar
2 eggs
150g self-raising flour
grated zest of 1 lemon
2Â tbsp milk
For the sauce:
3Â tbsp golden syrup
3Â tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
