  • a pinch of sea salt

  • 1 tsp bread soda, sieved

  • 285ml of buttermilk

  • 4 tbsp natural yogurt

  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 85g melted butter

  • 2 medium sized apples, peeled and roughly grated

  • 40g blueberries – more for serving

  • maple syrup to serve
