Ingredients
140g butter
200g flour
¼ tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tsp Irish whiskey
1 tsp lemon juice
85g ground almonds
6 egg whites
225g caster sugar
85-110g green or yellow cherries
55g homemade candied peel, finely chopped
For the white frosting:
1 egg white
225g granulated sugar
4 tbsp water
