Middle Eastern Lamb Kebabs from Mezze

Ingredients

  • 450g (1lb) minced lamb
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped

  • 20g (3/4oz) fresh parsley, leaves and stalks finely chopped

  • 20g (3/4oz) pine nuts (optional)

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin rapeseed oil

  • 1 tbsp baharat* (see end of recipe)

  • 1 tsp ground fennel

  • 1/2 tbsp sea salt

  • To Serve

  • Tahini Sauce

  • Amba

  • pita bread

  • grilled vegetables or salad

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and form into small patties.
  2. Barbecue on a grill or fry on a griddle pan for 3-4 minutes on each side, until cooked through.

  3. Serve with tahini sauce, amba or pita and grilled vegetables or salad.
