Ingredients

  • 140g caster sugar

  • 150g butter, softened

  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 150g self-raising flour

  • 20g chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and place 12 paper buncases into a cupcake tin.

  2. Beat the butter and sugaruntil light and fluffy.

  3. Lightly beat the eggs and vanilla into butter and sugar, making sure to regularly scrape the sides of your bowl.

  4. Add in the flour and mix slowly again making sure to regularly scrape the sides of your bowl. Add the chocolate chips and stir them in. Scoop the mixture into the waiting paper cases.

  5. Bake for 15 minutes until golden and risen.
