Ingredients

  • 100ml rapeseed oil

  • 110g honey

  • 110g soft dark brown sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ground cardamom

  • 100g puffed spelt

  • 100g puffed millet

  • 40g sunflower seeds

  • 50g pumpkin seeds

  • 30g sesame seeds

  • 85g almonds, very roughly chopped

Method

  1. Prehat the oven to 190°C. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper and leave to the side.

  2. Combine the puffed grains, seeds, nuts, spices and salt in a large mixing bowl.

  3. In a small saucepan, combine the oil, honey and sugar on a high heat and bring to the boil. When the contents are bubbling, pour over the dry ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon until everything is well covered.

  4. Transfer the contents to the prepared tray and flatten out in a single layer.

  5. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

  6. Remove from the oven and place somewhere to cool down before breaking into large clusters. Once the cereal is cold, transfer to an airtight container.
