- Beef fat
Method
Remove any traces of blood or plumbing.
Chop the fat into small pieces.
Put into a roasting tin and cook in a very low oven at 140°C/Gas Mark 1 for a couple of hours or until the fat has rendered out of the suet.
Pour off the liquid fat into a heat-proof bowl at regular intervals. Beef dripping solidifies and will keep for months in a fridge.
