  • 4 pears, cored and sliced

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 250g soft butter 

  • 200g golden caster sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 250g self-raising flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder, sieved
