Ingredients

  • 900g fresh spinach

  • 1 garlic clove 

  • 1 dried chilli pepper, soaked in 5 tbsp cold water

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 150ml oil

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 4 tbsp long-grain rice, rinsed thoroughly under cold water

  • 300ml water

  • 2 tbsp blanched almonds, toasted until golden under a hot grill
