Ingredients

  • 200g noodles

  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil

  • 500g beef mince

  • 1 tbsp tomato purée

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated

  • 1 red chilli, finely diced

  • 10 baby corns, halved

  • 160g green beans, sliced lengthways

  • 1 tbsp cornflour 

  • 100ml water

  • 4 tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp oyster sauce 

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • Sesame seeds

  • 1 spring onion, finely diced

Method

  1. Cook the noodles according to the packet instructions, then strain and set aside.

  2. To make the sauce, add the cornflour to a bowl and slowly stir in the soy sauce until smooth, then whisk in the water, oyster sauce and honey.

  3. Heat 1 tbsp of the oil in a frying pan over medium to high heat.

  4. Add the mince and cook until browned. Stir in the tomato purée, then add the garlic, ginger, chilli, baby corn and green beans. Cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Increase the heat and pour in the sauce, letting it bubble for a minute to coat everything.

  6. Serve with noodles and garnish with sesame seeds and spring onion.
